The practical placemats with the size 45x35cm and 5mm thickness are made of 100% pure new wool. The wool felt is an unproblematic material in terms of cleaning and care. Clean your wool felt set by hand washing under the shower with a soft brush and some shampoo or wool detergent. After showering, lay the set flat on a towel to dry and smooth it out by steaming lightly with the iron. Please use moisturizing soap, shampoo or detergent for wool to preserve the natural fat content of the wool. Wool grease acts as a natural stain protection and prevents dirt and liquid from sticking.

Unique hand-craftsmanship
Every piece in the Flamed range has been produced for 300 years using a unique hand-craftsmanship technique in Gmunden known as ‘flamming’. The colour is not painted but rather sprayed onto the ceramic using a fine tube. The particularly interesting thing is that the colour has to flow continuously to be applied on the ceramic in a circular motion. Alongside speed and dexterity, a qualified ‘Flamming painter’ trains for two years to master all of the Flamed designs and over 110 forms. No other company in the world has mastered and applied this technique.
